Samsung Electronics Wins 16 Red Dot Design Awards, Takes Top Honors with OLED TV

Samsung Electronics announced on the 28th that it won a total of 16 main awards at the 'Red Dot Design Award 2026', including two 'Best of the Best' awards, the event's highest honor.

Launched in 1955 and organized by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany, the 'Red Dot Design Award' is one of the world's most prestigious international design awards. Winners are selected based on various evaluation criteria, including functionality, aesthetics, innovation, and sustainability. The awards are divided into three categories: product design, design concept, and brands & communication.

This year, Samsung Electronics submitted 16 designs in the 'Product Design' category, and every entry received a main award. The company explained that the designs were recognized for their excellence, especially for reflecting the new, people-centered design methodology called 'Expressive Design'.

Mauro Porcini, President and Chief Design Officer of the Device eXperience (DX) Division at Samsung Electronics, stated, "Samsung Electronics pursues designs that reflect human identity, emotions, and diversity," adding, "Going forward, we will continue to enrich people's lives through designs that go beyond functionality to deliver meaningful connections and purpose."

Samsung Electronics won the highest award in the product design category with its OLED (organic light-emitting diode) TV 'S95H' and the Bespoke AI home appliance series. The OLED TV 'S95H' received recognition for its design featuring a silver metallic frame on the front, giving the ultra-slim OLED display the appearance of floating above the body. The silver metal frame blends naturally with the wall, creating the impression of viewing a work of art and enhancing the viewer's sense of visual immersion.

The Bespoke AI home appliance series was praised for its cohesive design, which highlights each product's unique features while maintaining a unified look. Products such as the Bespoke AI washer and dryer, the Bespoke AI One Body (a washer and dryer stacked vertically), and the Bespoke AI Combo (an all-in-one washer-dryer) were highly rated for designs that harmonize seamlessly with users' home interiors. In addition, the intuitive and easy-to-use 7-inch large touchscreen for controlling SmartThings and AI functions also received positive feedback.

All 16 products submitted by Samsung Electronics were selected as Winners at the Red Dot Design Awards. These included convenient home appliances for everyday use, such as the Wi-Fi speaker 'Music Studio 5', the portable screen 'The Moving Style', the 'Bespoke AI Family Hub' refrigerator, the Bespoke AI AirDresser, the Bespoke AI Water Purifier and Ice Water Purifier, the 'AI Wind-Free Combo Pro Wall-Mounted' air conditioner, the 'Bespoke AI Wind-Free Combo Gallery Pro' standing air conditioner, the 'Bespoke AI Steam Ultra and Plus' robot vacuum cleaner, and the 'Jet Fit' cordless stick vacuum cleaner.

Additionally, a variety of innovative products that provide users with new experiences were also selected as Winners, including the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy XR, 5G Street Radio Solution, the glasses-free 3D display 'Spatial Signage', and the portable SSD T7 Resurrected.
