Searchdog, a startup specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) for analyzing ultra-large documents and blueprints, announced on the 28th that it has secured approximately KRW 1 billion in seed round funding from Asia2G and FuturePlay.
Founded in March 2023, Searchdog is a company with AI technology capable of analyzing ultra-large documents and industrial blueprints that are difficult for existing large language models (LLMs) to process. The founding team consists of engineers from Amazon Web Services (AWS), Naver, and Samsung.
Alongside the seed investment, Searchdog also raised an additional KRW 2 billion through the Korea Credit Guarantee Fund’s Innovation Startup Growth Support Program. This brings its total secured funding to about KRW 3 billion.
Searchdog has already signed business contracts with major companies in the domestic construction and IT sectors, generating revenue, and is expanding its customer base driven by on-site industry demand. Based on identified customer needs, the company plans to launch the official version of its product.
With the newly secured funds, Searchdog plans to focus on core AI technology research and development and product advancement, while actively pursuing entry into overseas markets beyond Korea.
Baek Junsun, CEO of Searchdog, commented, “It is meaningful that this round of funding has validated both our technological capabilities and business potential. With the capital secured, we will further strengthen our product competitiveness and accelerate our expansion into the global market.”
