Toss Payments, the electronic payment gateway (PG) subsidiary of Viva Republica (Toss), announced on April 28 that it will participate in the overseas payment sector of the ‘Export Logistics Collaboration Network’ operated by Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).
Toss Payments will provide an integrated payment support model for KOTRA member companies, covering both B2C (cross-border e-commerce PG) and B2B (export payment services). As a result, not only companies that sell products to overseas consumers, but also those requiring receipt of export payments in various currencies, can utilize optimized payment solutions through Toss Payments regardless of their export formats.
In the B2C sector, Toss Payments helps companies selling to overseas customers easily connect to various global payment methods without complicated procedures. In the B2B sector, it offers a reliable system that allows companies to receive export payments in different currencies and settle in the currency of their choice.
Toss Payments has also prepared exclusive benefits for KOTRA member companies to reduce the cost burden faced by SMEs, mid-sized firms, and startups in the early stage of export. Both B2C and B2B services will have no sign-up or management fees, and member-exclusive discounted commission rates will be applied. In addition, for smooth service operation, a dedicated overseas payment specialist will be assigned for one-on-one personalized support.
A Toss Payments representative stated, “We are honored to support globally expanding companies together with KOTRA, which drives Korea’s exports. Based on the payment technology expertise accumulated by Toss Payments, we will continue to create an environment where domestic companies can focus on their core business in overseas markets without the burden of building payment infrastructure.”
A KOTRA representative commented, “Through the ‘Export Logistics Collaboration Network,’ KOTRA provides one-stop support for all stages of export logistics, including logistics, certification, customs, and free trade agreements (FTA). In response to the recent expansion of cross-border e-commerce exports and rapidly changing trade environments, we have added overseas payment support in cooperation with four companies including Toss Payments, and we plan to continue expanding the export logistics infrastructure needed by Korean businesses.”
