On April 27, JTBC announced that Bae Sungjae will serve as the main commentator and Park Jisung as the main analyst for its 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup broadcast team. This marks the third time the two will team up for World Cup coverage, following the 2018 and 2022 tournaments.
Bae Sungjae has experience covering a wide range of domestic and international sporting events. Park Jisung will provide in-depth analysis based on his experience playing in the World Cup finals and major European leagues.
In addition, JTBC has assembled a broadcast team that includes commentators Lee Kwangyong, Jung Yonggeum, Sung Seunghun, Park Yongsik, Yoon Janghyun, and Kim Yongnam, as well as analysts Kim Hwan, Park Juho, Lee Juhun, Kim Dongwan, Lee Hwangjae, and Hwang Deokyeon.
The 2026 North and Central America World Cup will be the first tournament jointly hosted by three countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The tournament has expanded to include 48 nations, with a total of 104 matches. It will kick off on June 11 and run through July 19.
Korea has been placed in Group A alongside Mexico, South Africa, and the Czech Republic. The team will begin the group stage with its first match against the Czech Republic at 11:00 a.m. KST on June 12.
