The Korean Committee for UNICEF announced on April 27 that it is launching the "UNICEF CREW" campaign, a sponsorship initiative in which sole proprietors can participate.

The "UNICEF Crew" refers to business owners who work for children around the world. This is a sharing activity where sole proprietors use their expertise and workplaces to help children. Business owners who participate in the regular sponsorship program will receive a certification plaque engraved with their business name and the start date of their sponsorship.

Chefs Kim Heeun, Sam Kim, and Yoo Yongwook, who appeared on the cooking competition program "Black and White Chef 2," have joined this campaign. Chef Kim Heeun said, "I hope that restaurants become spaces where people can share not only the joy of dining but also memories of giving."

Chef Sam Kim stated, "I hope that the small actions I put into practice as a business owner will have a positive impact on fellow self-employed entrepreneurs." Chef Yoo Yongwook added that the sharing practiced in each of our own places can bring about meaningful change and shared his thoughts on participating.

Cho Mijin, Secretary-General of the Korean Committee for UNICEF, remarked, "I hope this campaign, which enables people to help children in their everyday lives, will spread the spirit of sharing throughout our society."
