[Breaking] Minister Kim Jungkwan: "No Set End Date for Petroleum Price Ceiling... Will End Quickly After War"

Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Kim Jungkwan stated on April 27 that "the petroleum product price ceiling system is not a policy that operates with a predetermined end date."

At a press briefing held at the Government Complex Sejong on this day, Minister Kim said, "Once the war ends or oil prices stabilize, we plan to terminate the price ceiling as soon as possible," adding further context to his remarks.

He noted, "Controlling prices does not align with my personal beliefs," but emphasized, "However, it is clear that the current market conditions require us to maintain the price ceiling system at this time."
