The Financial Supervisory Service has shared exemplary cases of hiring people with disabilities within the industry to securities firms and other financial investment companies in an effort to promote employment of people with disabilities.
On the morning of April 28, 2026, the Financial Supervisory Service announced that it held a meeting titled "Roundtable for Promoting Employment of People with Disabilities in the Financial Investment Industry" at the Korea Financial Investment Association in Yeouido, Seoul, together with the Ministry of Employment and Labor, Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities, and various securities firms.
During the roundtable, outstanding cases of directly employing people with disabilities were introduced. Korea Investment & Securities has adopted the "SK Happiness Foundation Employment Linkage System," hiring young people with disabilities for design and office positions. So far, seven people have been hired, with plans to expand recruitment in the future.
KB Securities is also running the "Seomseom Oksu" job creation project for people with disabilities at booths in Yeongdeungpo Station, Osong Station, and Dongtan Station. Through this project, KB Securities has hired 14 women with severe disabilities, who provide free nail care services to railway passengers.
On this day, the Korea Employment Agency for Persons with Disabilities also introduced employment support programs suitable for the financial investment sector, including employment consulting services for people with disabilities.
An official from the Financial Supervisory Service stated, "We will actively strive to promote employment of people with disabilities in the financial investment industry."
