Suncheon City in South Jeolla Province announced that the "Suncheon City Children's Day Event" will be held at Ocheon Green Square starting at 10 a.m. on May 1, when the Children's Day holiday begins.
This year's event is themed "My First Universe in the Garden." It is designed as a festival where each child, who holds infinite potential, is celebrated as a shining universe in their own right. The event aims for children to actively participate and become the stars of the celebration.

Additionally, family-friendly spaces have been significantly expanded.
Furthermore, a QR-based smart waiting system has been introduced to allow visitors to enjoy the festival more comfortably, minimizing long waiting times.
The highlight of the event is the exhibition by "child artists." The artworks of all 98 children who participated in last year's drawing competition will be displayed at Ocheon Green Square. Children will be able to find their own works together with their families, creating precious memories.
Throughout the square, a total of 48 diverse programs will be offered, including K-POP dance performances, children's taekwondo demonstrations, bubble magic shows, recitations of the Children's Rights Charter, a variety sports festival, a children's flea market, and rocket launch experiences.
In addition, a "Family Healing Zone" equipped with parasols and camping chairs, as well as amenities such as air bouncers for toddlers, will be provided so that families can comfortably relax and enjoy the garden atmosphere.
A city official stated, "We prepared this event so that children can go beyond simply watching-they can participate and truly become the stars of the day. We hope that families will spend time together on the wide lawns, where children can run freely and create happy memories."
