Cheongna Sky Bridge Observatory, World’s Tallest at 184m, to Open Next Month

The Cheongna Sky Bridge (Incheon’s 3rd Link Bridge), which was listed in Guinness World Records for having the world’s highest (184m) sea bridge observatory, will open its tourism facility ‘The Sky184’ to the public next month.

According to the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority on April 27, The Sky184 is a multi-purpose tourism facility featuring a Sky Observatory, Rooftop Observatory, Sea Observatory, waterfront space, traveler’s center, and more. It is expected to become a new tourist attraction where visitors can simultaneously enjoy panoramic views and unique experiences above the Incheon sea.

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority will begin operating major facilities, including the Sky Observatory, Sea Observatory, and Traveler’s Center, starting May 7. After conducting safety inspections and trial operations, the experiential facility “Edgewalk” will open on May 15. The Edgewalk allows visitors to walk the exterior of the observatory while wearing safety gear and take in the surrounding views of the sea and cityscape.

Among the tourism facilities, the Sky Observatory and Edgewalk will require an admission fee, while the Sea Observatory, waterfront space, and other areas will be free of charge. Admission to the Sky Observatory is KRW 15,000, and the Edgewalk experience (which includes the Sky Observatory) is KRW 60,000. Incheon residents will receive a 50% discount. Facility operating hours are from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

To boost tourism, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority plans to offer a variety of cultural and tourism programs, including musical performances and cultural events utilizing the waterfront space. The “Yogijogi Concert” will be held four times starting next month, along with outdoor programs such as yoga and running, a sea cinema, and nighttime media content.

The Cheongna Sky Bridge, which opened in January, has a length of 4.68 km and a width of 30 meters (six lanes in both directions), connecting Incheon Cheongna International City and Yeongjong International City.

An official from the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority stated, “At the Cheongna Sky Bridge tourism facilities, visitors can enjoy expansive sea views and Incheon’s cityscape, while in the waterfront space, they can take a stroll or relax. We will develop this into a representative tourist attraction for Incheon.”
