Samyang Group announced on the 27th that it has begun pre-registration for participants in the 28th Nature Love Blue Heart Drawing Festival, which is open to kindergarten and elementary school students nationwide.

The Nature Love Blue Heart Drawing Festival is jointly hosted by the Sudang Foundation, Samyang Group's scholarship foundation, along with Samyang Corporation, Samyang Hwasung, and Huvis, a company specializing in chemical fiber materials. The event is supported by the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment and the Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Provincial Office of Education. Launched in 1996 to raise awareness about the importance of environmental protection among children in the Jeonbuk region, the festival has since expanded nationwide and now attracts over 2,000 participants each year.

This year's drawing competition will take place on May 16 at the athletic field inside Huvis Jeonju Plant 1. As in the previous year, participants will be divided into three groups: kindergarten, lower elementary grades, and upper elementary grades, with the event running from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The drawing theme will be announced on-site on the day of the event, and supervisors will be assigned to each area to prevent cheating.

The total prize money for the drawing competition is 14.7 million won. Three grand prize winners (Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment Award) will each receive 1 million won. Six gold prize winners (Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Provincial Superintendent of Education Award and Sudang Foundation Chairman's Award) will each receive 700,000 won. Six silver prize winners will each receive 500,000 won. Six bronze prize winners will each receive 300,000 won. Nine encouragement award winners will each receive 200,000 won, and 30 commendation award winners will each receive 30,000 won. In total, 60 participants will be selected as awardees. All participants who submit a drawing will also receive a commemorative gift.

In addition to the drawing contest, a variety of eco-friendly experiential programs will be offered, including "Decorate Your Own Earth Grip Tok," where participants use fresh cream glue to create unique smartphone grip accessories; "Worry Doll Keyring Making," which involves making personalized keyrings from recyclable materials such as socks and shoelaces; and "Cherry Tomato Seed Ball Making," where cherry tomato seeds are planted in egg cartons.

As in the previous year, there will also be an "Eco Flea Market," where reusable household items such as toys, books, and clothes are sold at affordable prices. To encourage children to naturally understand the meaning of resource circulation and sharing, items intended for food sales or excessive profit-making are prohibited. Recruitment for Eco Flea Market participants will be separately announced only to those confirmed after pre-registration closes.

Bae Yongjoon, plant manager of Samyang Corporation's Jeonju Engineering Plastics Plant, stated, "For this year's drawing festival, we plan to streamline the registration process and expand convenience facilities such as food trucks and restrooms to enhance participant satisfaction. We hope for much interest and participation, as we have prepared a wealth of enjoyable activities and attractions beyond the drawing competition."
