Knauf Gypsum Board Conducts Hands-On Construction Training for New Middle-Aged Trainees

Knauf Gypsum Board Co., Ltd., a company based on German technology, announced on the 27th that it held a hands-on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) training program for 23 students enrolled in the “New Middle-Aged Specialized Course” at the Knauf Gypsum Board Technology Center (PSTC) from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM on the 17th.
This program, which has been running since the first half of last year to strengthen the field practice capabilities of middle-aged individuals in their 40s and above, was also conducted this year for students majoring in Interior Architectural Design at Korea Polytechnics Seoul Gangseo Campus.
The training began with theoretical learning, including an introduction to the company and PSTC and watching a construction guide video in the auditorium of the Dangjin plant. Afterward, the trainees donned safety gear and participated in practical training in the PSTC’s workshop area.
In particular, Knauf Gypsum Board Co., Ltd. placed the highest priority on safety, ensuring that all trainees wore essential protective equipment-including safety helmets, vests, safety goggles, dust masks, and safety shoes-before commencing the hands-on training.
The practical session was structured step-by-step, covering the installation of studs (lightweight steel frame structures), cutting gypsum boards, wall fastening, and ceiling construction. All participants worked in teams and took part in the construction process themselves.
Additionally, trainees had the opportunity to operate specialized construction tools that are not commonly encountered, such as magazine guns and T-squares, thereby deepening their practical understanding. Upon completing the training, participants expressed a high level of satisfaction.
