"Supporting Youth Who Change the World"... Youth Handong Selects 5 Scholarship Recipients

Youth Handong, the alumni association for medical and healthcare graduates of Handong University, has selected current students who embody the 'Here and Now' spirit and provided them with scholarships.

Youth Handong recently announced that at the '4th Regular General Meeting and the 18th Youth Handong Night,' they selected five recipients for the third annual scholarship and awarded each of them 3 million won, for a total of 15 million won in scholarships.

This scholarship program is notable for evaluating 'practice-centered values' rather than academic performance or income as criteria.

Students are selected based on the 'youth spirit' and 'Handong spirit,' focusing on those who create positive change in society.

Since the launch of the program in 2023, a cumulative total of 32 million won has been provided to 11 students.

Youth Handong plans to select more than 10 scholarship recipients every year going forward.

Oh Seeun, a senior in the School of Law who was selected as a scholarship recipient for both the second and third rounds, said, "Thanks to the scholarship support, I was able to complete my project. The encouragement from alumni was a major driving force."

CEO Jeong Kyuseong stated, "We started this scholarship program to give back the value of learning to society," adding, "As a medical and healthcare network, we will continue to support our juniors' practical efforts."

Youth Handong aims to establish a virtuous cycle that supports students' practical activities through an alumni network-based scholarship program.
