Innospace, a private space launch vehicle company, is partnering with a Canadian aerospace and defense company to target the North American market.
On April 27, Innospace announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Montreal-based RSAT Space of Canada for collaboration on satellite launch services and space systems.

They also intend to pursue a new business model that combines satellite launch services with space system technologies.
Innospace is strengthening its capabilities for low-cost and rapid launches based on its 'HANBIT' launch vehicle, while RSAT Space brings experience in space system integration and launch mission support. By combining their technologies, the two companies plan to develop a collaborative model tailored to the needs of government, private sector, and defense clients.
This agreement follows a letter of intent (LOI) signed in March to secure a launch site in Canada, and is significant in that it establishes a basis for repeat satellite launches in the North American region.
Sujong Kim, CEO of Innospace, stated, "We have established a foundation for expanding our launch service business in the North American market," adding, "We will strengthen local partnerships to build a sustainable business structure." Govinder Chohan, CEO of RSAT Space, commented, "Through our collaboration, we will expand flexible launch services and create new business opportunities."
