Hwahae Launches AI-Based 'Compatibility Score' and 'My Used Items' Features

Strengthening Hyper-Personalized Recommendations

Hwahae Global, the operator of the beauty platform Hwahae, announced on April 27 that it has introduced new AI-based features, 'Compatibility Score' and 'My Used Items,' which provide personalized beauty information.

The company launched these two services to reduce the hassle of beauty consumers having to individually search for ingredients and reviews before purchasing cosmetics, and to lower the uncertainty of choosing products that may not suit their skin, thereby helping users make more rational purchasing decisions.

When users set their skin type, personal color, and skin concerns in the My Page section of the Hwahae App and search for a product, a 'Compatibility Score' is provided, indicating the match between their skin and the product. The score is calculated through a comprehensive analysis of the user's review history, more than 10 million reviews from actual Hwahae users, and ingredient information. The compatibility score and key analysis results are provided together in a report format.

If a user registers products in the 'My Used Items' list, they can check for ingredients that require caution, ingredient combinations to be mindful of when using together, and recommendations for additional products that may be beneficial. When using multiple products at the same time, the service considers interactions between ingredients, helping users find the optimal product combination for their skin.

To commemorate the launch of these new features, Hwahae is holding a raffle event until May 3, awarding a MacBook Neo raffle ticket to all users who register products in the 'My Used Items' list. Going forward, Hwahae plans to further advance its hyper-personalized recommendation services and strengthen its system for providing beauty information tailored to individual skin characteristics and product usage contexts.

Woong Lee, CEO of Hwahae Global, said, "We will continue to leverage our data and technology to help consumers find products that suit their skin more easily and accurately."
