Samjeom Sam Surpasses 300 Billion Won in Cumulative Hospital Bill Refund Applications

Surpassing 450,000 Cumulative Users

Jarvis & Villains, the operator of the non-face-to-face tax platform Samjeom Sam, announced on the 27th that the cumulative number of users of its 'Hospital Bill Refund Service' has surpassed 450,000, and the total amount of refund applications has exceeded 300 billion won.

This achievement comes approximately six months after the insurtech company Microprotect was acquired and incorporated as a subsidiary at the end of September last year, and about five years and one month since the launch of the indemnity insurance claim service.

The growth has become even more pronounced when looking at the six months since the incorporation into Samjeom Sam. The company achieved an additional 160 billion won in refund applications, far surpassing the performance accumulated over the four and a half years prior to the acquisition. The number of service uses also increased by 850,000 cases, bringing the cumulative total to 1.5 million cases. The total number of cumulative users reached 450,000.

It is analyzed that resolving the inconvenience customers experience during the claim process through a single app played a key role. Samjeom Sam improved its UI and UX, introduced OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology, and automated manual verification processes to enhance the speed of document claims and work. Starting at the end of this month, the company will also provide more detailed guidance on the progress of refund processing, allowing users to specifically track which stage their refund is in after applying for the service.

A representative of Samjeom Sam stated, "We will continue to actively listen to and reflect customer feedback so that users can utilize the service with greater peace of mind."
