In anticipation of Family Month in May, SK Chemicals organized a spring outing to experience traditional urban culture, with participation from SK members and their families.
On April 25, SK Chemicals announced on the 27th that it held the family volunteer activity "No(rang), Bom" in the Insadong and Jongno areas of Seoul, in collaboration with the Unjeong General Social Welfare Center in Paju, Gyeonggi Province (Unjeong Welfare Center), and the travel agency Yellow Balloon.

SK Chemicals explained that the event was designed to support the emotional well-being of seniors living alone and to promote intergenerational understanding.
A total of 50 people participated in the event, including families of SK affiliates and seniors who use the Unjeong Welfare Center. Participants took part in activities such as making rice cakes, visiting museums, sharing meals with seniors, exploring the city using the Seoul City Tour Bus, and touring the Cheong Wa Dae Sarangchae.
Jeongkeun Park, a manager at SK Chemicals who attended the event with his child, said, "The senior citizen who joined our tour shared stories about the Jongno and Insadong areas from their childhood, which the children found fascinating. It truly bridged the gap that had felt distant with the older generation."
SK Chemicals plans to continue carrying out various activities to address social issues and promote happiness in the future.
Jeongseok Ko, Head of the Business Support Division at SK Chemicals, stated, "With the increase in single-person households and an aging population, social isolation among seniors and the generational divide are emerging as new social challenges. We will continue to develop activities that enable SK members to naturally engage with social issues and participate directly in problem-solving, while also strengthening collaboration with various stakeholders, including other companies."
