Lotte Chilsung Beverage is launching a renewed version of its high-alcohol soju "Cheoeum-Cheoreom Jin," called "Cheoeum-Cheoreom Classic."
On April 27, Lotte Chilsung Beverage announced that it decided to introduce Cheoeum-Cheoreom Classic, inspired by the original "Cheoeum-Cheoreom," to offer more choices to consumers who continue to show interest in high-alcohol soju despite the trend toward lower-alcohol beverages in the domestic liquor market. The new product also aims to strengthen the brand heritage of Cheoeum-Cheoreom, which marks its 20th anniversary this year.
Planned under the concept of "A rich and smooth soju that returns to its original recipe from 20 years ago," Cheoeum-Cheoreom Classic features the same 20% alcohol content as when it was first released. It also contains the same additives used at its launch, such as alanine, asparagine, and xylitol, to recreate the original flavor.
In addition, Cheoeum-Cheoreom Classic incorporates the core elements of the current Cheoeum-Cheoreom brand, including Daegwallyeong bedrock water, rice distillate, and allulose, to ensure brand continuity. The design also retains the main design features of Cheoeum-Cheoreom while changing the label color to a deep green, visually expressing the rich and deep flavor of the soju.
Scheduled to launch in early May, Cheoeum-Cheoreom Classic will, unlike the existing Cheoeum-Cheoreom Jin, introduce a new 360ml glass bottle, making it easier to enjoy in restaurants and bars. Both the glass bottle and PET bottle versions will be available in large supermarkets and convenience stores.
