KOSDAQ-listed Atom's proactive investment in the U.S. electric commercial vehicle company Harbinger Motors has drawn renewed attention to its investment strategy and technological competitiveness, as Harbinger's corporate value has surged. Harbinger is currently preparing for a NASDAQ listing.

According to the investment industry on April 27, Atom made a strategic investment in Harbinger together with Renaissance Asset Management in November last year. At the time, Harbinger's corporate value was approximately 1 billion dollars (about 1.4 trillion won), but it has recently risen to between 5 billion and 8 billion dollars (about 7 trillion to 11 trillion won), based on strong performance in the North American market. Accordingly, the value of Atom's stake is also expected to increase significantly.

Harbinger is preparing to list on NASDAQ by the end of this year or early next year. Industry insiders anticipate that Atom, which invested about 1.5 billion won, will benefit both from an increase in the value of its stake after the listing and from a strengthened position in the global electric vehicle market.

The high valuation of Harbinger is driven by its implementation of next-generation core electric vehicle technologies. The company has implemented the "48A architecture" and "steer-by-wire" technologies, which are reportedly used in the Tesla Cybertruck, attracting attention from global investors. The 48A system is regarded as a next-generation standard that can achieve both vehicle weight reduction and improved power efficiency.

Atom possesses high-efficiency planar transformer technology optimized for such systems, raising expectations for potential technological synergy with Harbinger's platform in the future.

In addition, Harbinger has established a strategic business relationship with Hyundai Motor Group. Atom, as an official partner of Hyundai Mobis, is expected to accelerate the establishment of a global power solutions supply chain connecting North America and Asia.

An Atom official stated, "Harbinger's planned NASDAQ listing is proof that our technological competitiveness is being recognized in the global market," adding, "Along with the increase in the value of our investment assets, we will further strengthen our position in the electric vehicle power components market by leveraging our North American network."
