Suwon City Partners with D2B Design Fair to Discover Suwon Goods

Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province is partnering with the 'D2B Design Fair' to discover new ideas for Suwon Goods and commercialize them.

The D2B Design Fair is a major design competition that has reached its 21st edition this year, with participation from university students and young designers nationwide. It is unusual for a local government to collaborate with a nationwide competition to develop regional goods.

Suwon City plans to recruit Suwon Goods ideas from across the country, utilizing various local resources such as Suwon's history, culture, tourism, and city image. Outstanding designs will be matched with companies and go through commercialization processes to be developed into cultural products that can actually be sold.

Suwon City Collaborates with 'D2B Design Fair' to Discover Suwon Goods.

Suwon City is already discovering and supporting cultural products with local identity and marketability through the 'Suwon Goods Design Certification System.' With this collaboration, the city plans to expand the development of Suwon Goods nationwide and strengthen the foundation for industrializing the city brand by linking it with local industries.

An official from Suwon City stated, "This collaboration is a meaningful attempt to connect Suwon's city brand with the creative design capabilities of people nationwide and to discover new Suwon Goods. We will actively work to ensure that innovative ideas become unique cultural products of Suwon that both citizens and tourists can enjoy."
