Governor Park Wansoo of Gyeongnam Province continued his active communication efforts by visiting major event venues in the province even over the weekend.
Governor Park attended the first day of the '10th Annual District Conference of Rotary International District 3722,' held from April 24 to 25 at Changwon Hotel International and KBS Changwon Hall.
This district conference, hosted and organized by Rotary International District 3722, brought together around 1,000 participants, including the board of governors, club presidents, club members, and their families, who reflected on the year's volunteer activities and strengthened unity among members.
At the event, Governor Park expressed his gratitude and offered words of encouragement to Rotary members who have led the way in supporting the underprivileged, revitalizing local communities, and promoting a culture of sharing and social contribution in the region.
He also presented eight Gyeongnam Governor’s Commendations to distinguished contributors.
Governor Park is delivering a greeting at the "International Rotary District 3722 10th Year District Conference," held from the 24th to 25th at Changwon Hotel International and KBS Changwon Hall.

Subsequently, on the afternoon of April 25, Governor Park attended the 'Yeondeung Festival and Celebration Pagoda Lighting Ceremony for the Buddhist Era 2570' held at the Changwon City Hall Plaza, wishing for provincial unity and regional prosperity.
This event, hosted by the Changwon Special City Buddhist Association and organized by the Changwon Special City Buddhist Lay Association, was held in anticipation of Buddha’s Birthday, to reaffirm the spirit of compassion and coexistence and to wish for peace and prosperity in the region.
The event was attended by Buddhist leaders from the region, including Ven. Beopan, the head monk of Seongju Temple and president of the Changwon Special City Buddhist Association, as well as representatives of the Buddhist Lay Association and lay Buddhists.
In his congratulatory address, Governor Park stated, "On this vibrant spring day full of hope, I sincerely congratulate you on holding this lighting ceremony that will illuminate Changwon Special City with the light of compassion," adding, "I extend my deepest gratitude to Ven. Beopan, President Lee Sangyeon, and all Buddhists who prepared this event with such dedication."
He also said, "I hope today's gathering will widely showcase the beauty of our traditional culture, and serve as a venue for harmony where the regional community and the Buddhist community can coexist and grow together. I wish that the blessings of Buddha will always fill the homes of everyone present, and that your future will be filled with compassion and light."
Additionally, at 3:30 p.m. on April 26, Governor Park attended the closing ceremony of the Sacheon Waryong Culture Festival, held at the special stage in front of Sacheon City Hall, marking the conclusion of the event.
