Jirak Lim Confirmed as Democratic Party Candidate for Hwasun County Governor in Jeonnam

Jirak Lim has emerged as the final winner in the Democratic Party primary for Hwasun County Governor.

The Jeonnam Provincial Election Commission of the Democratic Party announced the results of the Hwasun County Governor primary at 11:00 p.m. on April 26, confirming Jirak Lim as the official candidate.

The Hwasun County Governor primary, which took place from April 25 to April 26, was postponed once due to controversy over proxy voting. Afterward, the constituency was designated as a strategic district, and the results reflected 20% from party member electors and 80% from safe-number electors.

With the selection of the Hwasun County Governor candidate completed on this day, all 22 basic local government head candidates in Jeonnam Province have now been confirmed, signaling the start of the official general election campaign.
