Sebastian Sawe of Kenya won the men's race at the 2026 London Marathon held in London, UK on April 26, completing the 42.195 km full course in 1 hour, 59 minutes, and 30 seconds.

By surpassing the previous world record set by Kelvin Kiptum of Kenya at the Chicago Marathon in October 2023 (2 hours, 00 minutes, and 35 seconds), he became the first person in human history to achieve the "sub-2" dream-finishing a full marathon in under two hours.
