Jungwoo Ham has conquered the Asian Tour.


On April 26, at the Serapong Course (par 71, 7,411 yards) of the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, he carded a 3-under-par 68 in the final round of the Singapore Open (total prize money: 2 million dollars), with five birdies and one double bogey. With a total score of 16-under-par 268, he finished two strokes ahead of second-place Cameron John of Australia (14-under-par 270). Having previously recorded four career wins on the Korea Professional Golfers’ Association (KPGA) Tour, Jungwoo Ham claimed his first victory on the Asian Tour. The winner's prize money is 360,000 dollars (approximately 530 million won).

By winning this tournament, Jungwoo Ham secured a spot in The Open, a major championship taking place this year. The Singapore Open is part of the International Series, classified as a premier event on the Asian Tour. The top two finishers in this tournament qualify for The Open, which will be held at Royal Birkdale Golf Club in England on July 16.


On this day, Jungwoo Ham made a birdie on the second hole (par 3), but stumbled with a double bogey on the third hole (par 4). He regained momentum with a birdie on the fourth hole (par 5), then celebrated victory with consecutive birdies on the 13th and 14th holes in the back nine, and another birdie on the final 18th hole (par 5).


Mundo Yeop climbed to a tie for sixth (8-under-par 276) after shooting an impressive 6-under-par on the final day. Wang Jeonghun finished tied for 26th (4-under-par 280), Choi Seungbin tied for 52nd (1-over-par 285), and Kim Hongtaek tied for 56th (2-over-par 286).
