On April 26, the Korea Shareholders Movement Headquarters, which has opposed the Samsung Electronics labor union's activities, reported to the police that it will hold a rally on May 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in front of Chairman Lee's residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

This rally appears to be in response to the rally scheduled by the Samsung Electronics Super Enterprise Union at 1:00 p.m. on the same day in front of Chairman Lee's residence, where the union plans to announce its general strike plan.

The number of participants reported for the rally is said to be around 30.

The Korea Shareholders Movement Headquarters also issued a statement on April 23 near the Samsung Electronics Pyeongtaek Plant, when the union held a rally attended by around 40,000 people, claiming that the union's excessive demands infringe upon shareholders' property rights.
