This project, supported by the government, is designed to increase energy self-sufficiency by installing at least two types of energy sources-such as solar power, solar thermal, and geothermal systems-together in homes or buildings to supply both electricity and heat.

The survey targets homeowners and building owners in the region who wish to install solar power, solar thermal, or geothermal energy systems. If the county is ultimately selected for the public project, about 70-80% of the total installation costs will be covered by national and county government funds.

Applications will be accepted until May 22. Interested individuals must submit the application form and relevant documents, such as the building register, in person to the town or township office corresponding to their address. Only officially registered buildings listed in the building register are eligible; unregistered or unauthorized buildings are excluded from support.

Based on the results of the demand survey, the county plans to apply for the relevant public project, which is overseen by the Korea Energy Agency. Final selection will be determined at the end of the year after a review process in the second half of the year.

Sim Min, Mayor of Imsil County, stated, “Expanding the supply of renewable energy is a project that provides tangible benefits to our residents. I ask for the active interest and participation of the citizens to enhance the clean image of Imsil and to strengthen the foundation for environmentally friendly energy self-reliance.”
