Seocho Youth Center, the leading youth hub in Seocho District, Seoul, was awarded the "Excellent Organization Award" after receiving the top S grade in the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Youth Center Performance Evaluation.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government's Youth Center Performance Evaluation is a system that comprehensively assesses the previous year’s achievements of 16 youth centers across the city in three main areas-policy delivery, implementation, and dissemination-covering a total of 16 sub-categories. Out of all the centers, only two, including Seocho Youth Center, received the highest grade.

원본보기 아이콘Seocho Youth Center, which opened in 2024, is a comprehensive support facility tailored to young people. It has established itself as the focal point of the district's youth policies by meeting a wide range of youth needs, including job and business start-up preparation, career counseling, information acquisition, and space rental. The cumulative number of users reached 52,609, and this year, the number of users increased by 400% compared to the previous year.
The center's outstanding performance in youth policy implementation played a decisive role in this evaluation. It achieved 100% of its targets across 16 projects in 6 fields, providing direct and indirect benefits to approximately 110,000 people. The satisfaction score averaged 4.7 out of 5 points.
A key achievement was the establishment of a virtuous cycle connecting emotional recovery and social reintegration for isolated or reclusive youth through the "Youth Reconnect Project." The center operated 57 customized programs-including recovery support, arts activities, social participation, and health check-ups-for youth who were isolated, reclusive, or had given up on job-seeking, with 596 participants. Through step-by-step linkage programs such as artist activities and company-based internships, 65 individuals resumed social activities.
The public-private partnership-based social safety net for youth was also strengthened. The center signed 11 agreements with the Seoul Metropolitan Government, metropolitan youth centers, universities, and private institutions, implementing 20 collaborative projects. Initiatives such as the Youth Policy Expo in partnership with local universities and career experience programs in culture and the arts have significantly enhanced the accessibility of youth policies.
For the first time among local governments, an agreement was established between the district, the center, LH Residential Welfare Information, and the SH Seocho Housing Security Center to create a dedicated counseling space, "Youth Housing Irum," within the center. The "Housing Irum Project" conducted here provides a one-stop support system, offering continuous online and offline housing consultations by professional consultants and delivering integrated solutions to youth housing issues.
A district official stated, "Seocho Youth Center's recognition as an excellent organization is the result of customized policies tailored to each young person's circumstances and a robust support system based on public-private cooperation. We will continue to expand effective policies that young people can truly experience, making Seocho a better place for youth to live."
