A loud bang, suspected to be gunfire, was heard at the White House Correspondents' Dinner attended by U.S. President Donald Trump, prompting President Trump to be urgently evacuated from the event.

During the event, a loud explosion was heard somewhere in the venue, and President Trump and other dignitaries seated at the head table on stage ducked under the table before evacuating.
