Samsung conducted the Samsung Aptitude Test (GSAT) for job applicants over two days, from April 25 to 26.
According to Samsung on April 26, the affiliates that administered the Samsung Aptitude Test included Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung SDI, Samsung SDS, Samsung Biologics, Samsung Bioepis, Samsung C&T, Samsung Heavy Industries, SAMSUNG E&A, Samsung Life Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, Samsung Securities, Samsung Asset Management, Cheil Worldwide, Samsung Global Research, S-1 Corporation, and Samsung Welstory, for a total of 18 companies.
Samsung began accepting applications in March and is currently conducting its first half-year open recruitment process. The company plans to select new employees through the Samsung Aptitude Test (GSAT), interviews in May, and health checkups.

Since 2020, prompted by the COVID-19 pandemic, Samsung has been conducting the GSAT online, allowing applicants to take the test using a PC in a private setting.
Additionally, to ensure smooth administration of the test, a preliminary briefing was held one week prior to the exam to check each candidate's network and PC environment.
Candidates applying for software development and design positions are selected through the SW (software) competency test and a design portfolio review, respectively, instead of the GSAT.
Samsung was the first company in Korea to introduce open recruitment for new employees in 1957 and has maintained this system for 70 years, the longest among domestic companies. The company has announced plans to hire 60,000 people over five years to accelerate growth in future business sectors, which is expected to contribute to the national economy.
Going forward, Samsung intends to further expand its recruitment to discover talent that will lead the global AI era, and based on this, actively foster future growth businesses and contribute to the national economy.
