A customer who claimed to have been a victim of a "wine swap" at Mosu, operated by Chef Seungjae Ahn, has issued an additional statement in response to Mosu's apology.
On April 24, customer A stated, "I checked the apology posted yesterday (the 23rd) on Mosu's official social media account," and continued, "As I mentioned in my previous post, all of the following content is based on facts confirmed through recorded phone calls and message logs."
Previously, on April 18, A claimed that at "Mosu Seoul," they ordered a bottle of 2000 vintage wine worth 800,000 won, but the sommelier mistakenly served a 2005 vintage that was 100,000 won cheaper, and allegedly tried to ignore the mistake.
As the controversy grew, Mosu issued an apology on social media on April 23, saying, "We sincerely apologize for causing confusion by not providing accurate information during the service process, and for failing to give sufficient explanations during the follow-up response, which caused great disappointment."
A reported that they had three phone conversations with Mosu and received an apology from the restaurant three days after the incident, on April 21. They emphasized, "I was asked, 'Did you contact us because you wanted something?' to which I replied, 'I did not reach out expecting any compensation.'"
They further stated, "It is true that there was no apology on the day of the meal," and added, "I was also offered an invitation to another meal, but I declined."
Regarding the reason for not raising the issue right away, A explained, "I did not want to spoil the pleasant atmosphere of the meal," and added, "I was there with my seniors."
They also said, "Since this has become an issue, I deliberated a lot before writing this post," and continued, "I thought many people might be curious, so I decided to write about it. I hope this helps resolve some of your questions."
