A man in his 20s who was soliciting customers for entertainment establishments in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, has been arrested after stabbing a teenage male who was intoxicated.
The Namyangju Southern Police Station announced on April 25 that they have arrested and are investigating a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, on suspicion of attempted murder.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing a teenage male, identified as Mr. B, with a weapon he was carrying in the underground parking lot of a shopping complex in Hwado-eup, Namyangju, at around 2:30 a.m. on April 23.
The police believe that Mr. A got into a dispute with Mr. B while soliciting customers on the street and then moved to the underground parking lot of the shopping complex, where he committed the crime. Mr. B was taken to the hospital, underwent surgery, and is currently receiving treatment.
The police obtained an arrest warrant for Mr. A from the court the previous day. They plan to investigate the motive for Mr. A's actions and other details related to the incident.
