Jointly planned and operated by the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education and the Southern Training Institute, the program was held a total of three times for 100 secondary music and art teachers: online sessions on the 15th and 22nd, and an in-person session on the 25th.
The training program focused on strengthening conceptual lesson design capabilities, covering areas such as understanding the essence of art, integrated lessons between arts and other subjects, using generative artificial intelligence (AI) and edutech in the arts, art therapy classes, and traditional and sustainable arts.
In particular, theory and practice were combined to improve practical classroom application. The training was field-oriented, involving master teachers, artists, and current teachers together, with an emphasis on supporting participating teachers to further grow as lesson experts.
The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education plans to deepen teachers' expertise in arts education through this training and actively support the integration of arts into students' daily lives. In addition, the office intends to focus on strengthening teacher competencies to lead future arts education.
