Sancheong-gun Promotes Its Appeal as the Top Destination for Returning to Farming and Rural Migration

Sancheong-gun in Gyeongsangnam-do actively promoted its appeal as the optimal destination for returning to farming and rural migration.

The county announced that it participated in the 'Y-FARM EXPO 2026,' held at Suwon Convention Center from April 24 to April 26, providing a variety of information on returning to farming and rural life to urban residents.

At this expo, Sancheong-gun received a strong response by offering one-on-one tailored consultations, guiding urban residents preparing for rural migration on support policies and conditions for stable settlement.

In particular, the county focused on introducing practical information such as various support programs essential for early settlement, housing assistance, the "Experience Rural Life" program, and new farmer support policies.

Additionally, Sancheong-gun highlighted the excellence of its settlement environment by promoting its strengths, including a pristine natural environment, abundant agricultural infrastructure, and robust living infrastructure, along with actual settlement cases of returning farmers and community activities in the region.

The county also promoted the competitiveness of local agricultural specialties such as strawberries, dried persimmons, and medicinal herbs, as well as a variety of other high-income crops.

An official from Sancheong-gun stated, "Sancheong is a great place to live, boasting an excellent natural environment and diverse support policies," adding, "We will continue to expand customized support so that urban residents can settle down stably and begin a new life here."
