This project is a resident-led, community-based care model focused on the southern areas of Janghowon, Seolseong, and Yul-myeon. By fostering "Village Care Leaders," the initiative aims to move beyond traditional approaches and establish a sustainable local care system centered on resident participation.

In particular, this project will enable seniors to move beyond the role of mere "service recipients" to become proud "care providers" within the local community. Through various programs at the Eco Care Sarangbang, they will become reliable supporters by sharing eco-friendly products they create themselves with vulnerable groups in the region, thus contributing to the well-being of the village.

An official from Icheon City stated, "Through this project, we expect to establish resident-participatory care hubs in the southern region, form a dense care safety net within the community, and contribute to improving the quality of life for seniors by restoring social networks."
