Jeonnam Employers Federation Conducts Interim Review to Eliminate Blind Spots in Major Accident Prevention

The Jeonnam Employers Federation has launched an interim review to eliminate safety blind spots in the local industrial field and enhance the effectiveness of major accident prevention.

The event, held under the theme 'Creating a Safe Workplace and a Business-Friendly Jeonnam,' was attended by 21 representatives from related organizations, including Jeollanam-do Province, Yeosu Employment and Labor Office, Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, as well as labor groups such as the Federation of Korean Trade Unions and Saeumteo. The participants redefined the direction of the project.

The reading session began with a project activity briefing, followed by a lecture on improvement strategies by Choi Jinil, CEO of Saeumteo, and a session to gather suggestions. In particular, safety consultants from the Jeonnam Employers Federation, who directly provide on-site safety guidance, drew significant attention by presenting practical improvement measures based on real-life case studies.

Choi Jinil, who delivered the keynote presentation, emphasized, "It is urgent to narrow the safety management gap according to the size of workplaces in the Jeonnam region," and added, "We need to strengthen customized consulting and expand related support in accordance with the principle of prioritizing the field."

An official from Jeollanam-do Province responded, "This reading session provided a valuable opportunity to directly hear from the field and assess the effectiveness of the project," and continued, "Based on what was discussed, we will promote systematic and sustainable safety management policies."

The Jeonnam Employers Federation plans to submit the findings from this review to the Ministry of Employment and Labor and actively reflect them in the direction of major accident prevention projects in the Jeonnam region going forward.
