Accounting Firm Beyul Appoints Seo Kyeiwon, Former Samil PwC Accountant, as Head of Quality Management

Accounting firm Beyul (CEO Park Jangwoo) announced that it has appointed accountant Seo Kyeiwon, formerly of Samil PwC, as its new Head of Quality Management. This recruitment comes as a response to increasing market expectations for accounting transparency, aiming to further advance the firm's audit quality management system.

The newly appointed Head Seo is an expert who has handled all aspects of accounting work at Samil PwC, including audit, consulting on International Financial Reporting Standards (K-IFRS), and quality management (review). Notably, Seo gained practical experience in international accounting and auditing standards while working at PwC offices in the United States, Thailand, and Singapore. In the Quality Management Office at Samil PwC, Seo was responsible for financial statement reviews as well as operating the internal quality management system, and participated in reviewing the quality management systems of 10 PwC network offices, including Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan.

Seo also has extensive external experience. Seo has served as a member of the Korea Accounting Standards Board's Inquiry Response Joint Meeting and as an accounting research committee member at the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants, earning recognition for expertise in the interpretation and application of accounting standards. Seo is currently serving as an accounting advisor at the Korea Listed Companies Association, and is also active as a part-time university professor, bridging practical experience and academic education.

Beyul plans to use this recruitment as an opportunity to further enhance its quality management infrastructure, including: strengthening pre-review functions for financial statement audits; refining compliance and supervisory response procedures; expanding consulting functions for K-IFRS and general corporate accounting standards; and upgrading its quality management system in response to the implementation of the new quality management standards.
