Uljin County will implement the "Uljin Love Pass," the first of its kind in North Gyeongsang Province, to offer practical recognition to participants of the Hometown Love Donation Program and to boost local tourism.
The "Uljin Love Pass" is an online certificate of donation benefits issued to donors who have contributed to Uljin County through the Hometown Love Donation Program.
The key feature is that it goes beyond simply providing thank-you gifts; donors who visit Uljin in person can use cultural and tourist facilities at the same discounted rates as local residents.
The pass is available to those who donate at least 100,000 won to Uljin County. It can be issued immediately through the Hometown Love e-Eum website and is valid for one year from the date of issuance.
When using facilities, donors must present both the Uljin Love Pass and an ID at the ticket office. However, duplicate discounts cannot be applied.
With the Uljin Love Pass, donors can receive a 50% discount on admission to major tourist sites such as Wangpicheon Park, Uljin Science Experience Center, and Seongnyugul Cave. For the Wangpicheon Cable Car, a round-trip discount of 4,000 won is provided.
The pass also offers benefits linked to stay-type tourism. For example, the "Forest House" at Gusu Valley Natural Recreation Forest offers a 30% weekday off-season discount on lodging, and the "Forest·Breath Retreat" at the Geumgangsong Ecorium provides a 20% discount on usage fees. Deokgu Hot Springs offers a 35-45% discount on usage fees, while Baekam Hot Springs has a 4,000 won discount on bathing fees.
Previously, Uljin County provided tourism-linked benefits such as "tourist taxi discounts" and "yacht experience discount vouchers" as thank-you gifts for the Hometown Love Donation Program, confirming positive responses from donors.
The introduction of the Uljin Love Pass is seen as a strategy to institutionalize donor recognition and expand tourism consumption into local businesses as well as accommodation and experience sectors, building on these results.
In particular, connecting experiential tourism facilities around Wangpicheon, Seongnyugul Cave, Geumgangsong Pine Forest, and hot spring attractions into a single tourism route is expected to have a positive effect on attracting family visitors and stay-type tourists.
An official from Uljin County said, "The Uljin Love Pass is a genuine gesture of appreciation for Hometown Love donors and a new benefit for enjoying Uljin tourism together. As the first initiative of its kind in North Gyeongsang Province, we hope this program will instill pride in donors and invigorate the local community."
The official added, "We will continue to develop various recognition programs that donors can truly experience, so that the Hometown Love Donation Program can help revitalize the local economy."
