Seongju County Holds Seongju Chamoe Promotion and Sales Event at KEPCO E&C

On April 23, Seongju County and the Seongju Cooperative Business Corporation successfully held a promotional and sales event for Seongju Chamoe at the headquarters of Korea Electric Power Corporation Engineering & Construction Company (KEPCO E&C) in Gimcheon, North Gyeongsang Province. The event aimed to showcase the excellence of Seongju Chamoe and to revitalize the local economy and promote mutual development.

The event was organized to present freshly harvested, high-quality Seongju Chamoe to the employees of KEPCO E&C. A tasting corner was set up at the venue, allowing KEPCO E&C staff to directly experience the characteristic crisp texture and sweetness of Seongju Chamoe, and to purchase them at affordable prices.

Additionally, a dedicated courier booth was operated on site to maximize convenience for buyers, enabling them to immediately send purchased chamoe as gifts to friends and family.

Seongju County stated that the significance of this event goes beyond simply boosting sales figures. The county highlighted the importance of Seongju County and the Seongju Cooperative Business Corporation, a specialized local distribution organization, collaborating to visit a large public institution as a major consumer, with the goal of expanding distribution channels for Seongju Chamoe and practicing regional cooperation.

An official from Seongju County said, "Thanks to the enthusiastic support of KEPCO E&C employees, we were once again able to confirm the excellence of Seongju Chamoe." The official added, "We will continue to expand distribution channels for local farmers and invigorate the regional economy through ongoing collaborative efforts with public institutions."
