Hwasun Flower Riverside Scenic Display Extended Until May 10

Visitor Numbers Remain Steady as Main Scenic Displays Stay Open

Hwasun County, South Jeolla Province, announced on April 24 that the main flower riverside scenic displays at the "2026 Hwasun Spring Flower Festival," which is scheduled to run until April 26, will be extended through May 10.

This year’s festival, which began on April 17 along the Hwasun-eup Flower Riverside Road under the theme of "Spring Flower Night Walk," features themed spaces centered around the Nadri Welfare Center, combining canola flowers, a variety of spring blooms, sculptures, and photo zones.

An estimated 100,000 visitors attended just during the opening weekend, and steady foot traffic has continued since then. The county expects ongoing demand from visitors wishing to enjoy the spring flower scenery even after the festival ends, and has decided to extend the display while maintaining the main attractions.

During the extended period, experience booths and performance programs will end, but the spring flower displays and attractions such as the musical fountain will remain open to the public. Starting May 11, the removal of sculptures and some facilities will proceed in stages.

Choi Eunsun, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, said, "We expect visitors will continue to come to see the spring flower displays along the Flower Riverside Road even after the festival," and added, "We will ensure thorough management during the extended period to provide a comfortable viewing environment."
