Lotte Tour Development Chairman Kim Kibyeong Receives "April 19 Revolution Volunteer Award"

Lotte Tour Development announced on April 24 that Chairman Kim Kibyeong received the 'April 19 Revolution Volunteer Award' at the 44th National Morning Prayer Meeting commemorating the 66th anniversary of the April 19 Revolution, held at the April 19 Revolution Memorial Library in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul.

The 'April 19 Revolution National Morning Prayer Meeting' is an event jointly hosted by organizations related to the April 19 Revolution. Since 2013, the Volunteer Award has been presented annually to one individual who has contributed to realizing the values of freedom, democracy, and justice.

Chairman Kim led the protests during the April 19 Revolution in 1960 as president of the student council at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and as chairman of the National University Students' Order Restoration Committee. He has continued to participate in passing on the spirit of the revolution through his involvement in various commemorative projects.

In recognition of these contributions, he was selected as a national merit recipient in 2024 and received the Moran Medal of the Order of Civil Merit.

Chairman Kim stated, "Receiving such a meaningful award makes me feel a deep sense of responsibility," adding, "I will continue to support the values of the April 19 Revolution going forward."

Lotte Tour Development is a tourism and leisure company operating travel businesses and the Jeju Dream Tower Complex Resort. Chairman Kim also established and operates the Mirim Academy foundation for educational purposes.
