Ulju County in Ulsan is set to create a new green space to add more leisure to the daily lives of its residents.
On April 24, Ulju County announced that it will establish the “Eonyang Bancheon Small Park” in the area of 62-1, Bancheon-ri, Eonyang-eup, starting from next month and continuing until June 2027. This project aims to improve the local living environment and provide residents with a comfortable place to relax close to home.
The designated site is within the Eonyang Bancheon Natural Disaster Risk Improvement Area, and in response to residents' requests, a variety of rest and convenience facilities will be installed. A total of 400 million won from the county budget will be invested, creating a 600-square-meter lawn plaza, four play facilities, two rest areas, twelve convenience facilities, and six exercise facilities.
Additionally, the county plans to expand the insufficient green space by planting 1,799 trees from 13 different species, including hawthorn, to provide a pleasant living environment.
An official from Ulju County stated, “Through the creation of this small park, we aim to improve the landscape of the Eonyang Bancheon area and provide a safe and comfortable space for residents to relax,” adding, “We will continue to expand environments where people can enjoy nature in their daily lives.”
