Icheon City and Icheon Livestock Cooperative Sign Agreement for Drone Delivery Logistics Collaboration

On April 23, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyunghee) signed a "Business Agreement for Drone Delivery Distribution and Logistics Collaboration" with the Icheon Livestock Cooperative (hereinafter referred to as Icheon Livestock Cooperative).

The signing ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Icheon, the head of Icheon Livestock Cooperative, and other officials from both organizations. The event included a business briefing, welcoming remarks from the heads of each organization, the signing of the agreement, and a commemorative photo session.

Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to collaborate in various areas, including: establishing drone delivery distribution and logistics hubs; supplying products and operating stores exclusively for drone delivery; developing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual; operating an integrated drone delivery platform; managing product quality and safety; and managing hubs and delivery facilities.

This agreement was promoted to build a distribution and logistics system utilizing drones, provide innovative delivery services to citizens, and strengthen the distribution competitiveness of local agricultural and livestock products. In particular, it is expected to lay the foundation for the successful implementation of drone-based logistics pilot projects and serve as an opportunity to improve the efficiency of local agricultural and livestock product distribution.

An official from Icheon City stated, "Through this agreement, we will be able to provide even more innovative logistics services to citizens," adding, "We will continue to expand the drone industry and smart logistics systems to contribute to the revitalization of the local economy."
