High1 Water World is an eco-friendly water park that utilizes valley water from the Baekdu-daegan mountain range. This year, the park has strengthened its service quality and safety standards through facility maintenance and operational improvements.

Previously, the water park had been closed for a total of 32 days starting from March 23 for facility maintenance. During this period, major facilities were repaired and safety inspections were completed. In particular, repair work was carried out on aging facilities within the Poseidon Zone to establish a foundation for preventing safety accidents. In addition, a joint public-private fire drill was conducted with the Sabuk 119 Safety Center to prepare for fire emergencies and review the emergency response system.

Various changes have also been introduced to enhance the service experience. At the outdoor wave pool and X-River, a new 'Snow Foam' (snow effect) event will be held to provide visitors with a unique water play experience. Furthermore, the VR slide, which previously required a 2,500 won fee per use, will now be available free of charge to reduce customer burden and improve accessibility.

Safety programs in collaboration with the local community are also noteworthy. Kangwon Land plans to operate 'Survival Swimming and First Aid Classes' for local children, strengthening water safety education and contributing to the spread of public safety values.

After reopening, the water park will gradually expand operations, starting with the indoor Family Zone and outdoor open-air spa, followed by the phased opening of the outdoor Island Zone and Poseidon Zone. In addition, a variety of interactive attractions such as VR snorkeling, bubble foam events, water coolers, and mist fountains will continue to be offered.

Hong Sung-wook, Head of Leisure Operations at Kangwon Land, stated, "This year, High1 Water World has improved its overall operations with a focus on customer experience and safety," adding, "We aim to establish ourselves as a comprehensive leisure destination that satisfies not only families but also visitors throughout all four seasons."
