CHAEVI (CEO: Choi Younghoon), the leading operator of electric vehicle rapid charging infrastructure in Korea, has once again demonstrated its technological and design competitiveness by achieving consecutive wins at prestigious global design awards with its ultra-fast charging platform, "CHAEVI MCS (Megawatt Charging System)."

On April 24, CHAEVI announced that it had won the main award (Winner) in the Product Design category at the "Red Dot Design Award 2026." This follows the company’s earlier win at the "iF Design Award 2026" in February, securing two of the world’s top three design accolades in succession. The Red Dot Design Award is a renowned competition that began in Germany in 1955, evaluating entries based on functionality, aesthetics, user-friendliness, and sustainability. CHAEVI previously won the main award in 2024 for its "CHAEVI Megastation," making this year’s win its second at the event.

The award-winning "CHAEVI MCS" already attracted attention at CES 2026, where it earned Innovation Awards in both the "Vehicle Tech & Advanced Mobility" and "Artificial Intelligence (AI)" categories. CHAEVI has now received CES Innovation Awards for three consecutive years since 2023, and with its recent iF and Red Dot wins, the company has secured global competitiveness across technology, innovation, and design.

The "CHAEVI MCS" is an ultra-fast charging system available in 1MW and 2MW configurations. It features a slim structure up to 2000mm high and a modular "power stack" design for enhanced scalability. The use of stainless steel ensures both durability and a premium feel, while user-friendly features include SOC LEDs, an 8-inch LCD display, an RFID card reader, CCS/NACS connectors, and an emergency stop button.

From a design standpoint, the product’s minimalist and balanced form allows it to blend naturally into a variety of settings, from logistics hubs to urban rest areas. The intuitive representation of energy flow is another distinctive feature. In addition, the system is engineered to achieve a full charge in under five minutes, and it is designed to meet the growing demand for electrification among large commercial vehicles and logistics fleets, establishing itself as a core platform in the megawatt-class charging market.

CEO Choi Younghoon commented, "Winning back-to-back global design awards with the same product is the result of integrating technology and design into a single value. We will continue to deliver charging solutions focused on the user experience."

Meanwhile, the 2024 Red Dot-winning "CHAEVI Megastation" features LED lighting, totem signage, and charging time display signage, offering differentiated convenience compared to conventional canopy-type charging stations. It is currently in operation at 19 locations nationwide.

Recently, CHAEVI’s public subscription for its KOSDAQ listing attracted approximately 4.2 trillion won in deposits, marking a successful offering. The company is set to list on April 29, and after listing, plans to use the raised funds to expand its charging infrastructure, advance ultra-fast charging technology, and continue global business expansion.
