Kim Byungwook Launches 'Reading Seongnam' Era, Provides 100,000 Won Book Support for Each New Middle and High School Student

Kim Byungwook announced through his YouTube channel 'Kim Byungwook TV' that, in celebration of World Book Day, he will provide 100,000 won in book purchase support to all new middle and high school students in Seongnam. This marks the first step of the 'Reading Seongnam' policy, which aims to enhance the quality of life for citizens.

This pledge was prepared to foster creative and interdisciplinary future talent necessary for the AI era. The plan is for students to choose their own books, which will strongly motivate them to read, and in turn, develop their critical reflection skills to maximize educational benefits.

In addition, the 'Reading Seongnam' vision will be declared, and policies to make reading a daily habit for citizens will be actively pursued.

To support this, the expansion of easily accessible e-libraries is under review. Furthermore, efforts are underway to strengthen public libraries, revitalize small libraries, and establish specialized libraries such as hospital libraries and music libraries.
