On April 23, Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province, announced that it held the 'K-FOOD Festa' with citizens at Gungjip in Pyeongnae-dong, organized by the Namyangju Cultural Center.

원본보기 아이콘This event was designed to highlight the spatial significance of Gungjip, a local cultural heritage site, to reinterpret the value of traditional food culture in a modern context, and to cultivate citizens' knowledge in the humanities.
The event featured cooking demonstrations, hands-on experiences, and lectures. Kimchi master Ha Yeon Lee and wild greens master Hwa Soon Ko led cooking demonstrations and experience-based programs. Afterwards, Professor Hye Kyung Jeong of Hoseo University gave a lecture titled 'K-Food Beginning with Kimchi and Wild Greens.'
Participants learned about the wisdom of life contained in traditional foods, focusing on fermentation and seasonal ingredients, and had the opportunity to communicate and engage through hands-on experiences.
