Smartkeeper Co., Ltd. (CEO Ahn Changhoon) has signed a cooperation agreement with NTT East Japan, a leading telecommunications and infrastructure company in Japan, and will begin a full-scale entry into the Japanese physical security market. Starting from April 2026, the two companies will expand their business nationwide in Japan, establishing a strategic partnership not only for simple product supply but also with the aim of jointly expanding the market.

This collaboration is notable because NTT East Japan, an ICT company with a high level of trust in Japan, has adopted Smartkeeper's technology. Through this, Smartkeeper's capabilities and business potential in physical security have once again been validated on a global scale.

NTT East Japan is strengthening its physical security business through its enterprise solutions brand 'BizDrive Physical Security,' and will exclusively supply the 'SMARTKEEPER Pro' series as the first product lineup in Japan. Based on this, both companies plan to establish a standard for physical communication security environments for Japanese enterprises and institutions.

Recently, with increasing risks of information leakage and system failures via external ports such as USB and LAN, demand is rapidly growing for security solutions that block physical access itself, beyond software-based security.

Smartkeeper has responded to this trend by providing standalone physical security solutions that reduce reliance on software. The 'SMARTKEEPER Pro' series is characterized by its technology that can physically block not only USB and LAN ports but also industrial ports like RF modules and BNC, and can even control cables in use. Its proprietary key-based locking system effectively reduces insider threats and the possibility of malware infection. The effectiveness of these solutions has already been verified through long-term use in major global organizations and corporate environments.

Through this collaboration, Smartkeeper has secured a business foothold in the large-scale Japanese IT infrastructure market, while NTT East Japan plans to accelerate the spread of physical security solutions by leveraging its sales network and customer touchpoints.

Takaki Kadono, General Manager of Advanced Technology, Advanced Business Promotion Department, Business Innovation Headquarters at NTT East Japan, stated, "This collaboration is significant in that we can now provide industry-leading physical security solutions to Japanese customers. We expect it will contribute to enhancing security standards for a wide variety of customers across all industries and sectors."

Ahn Changhoon, CEO of Smartkeeper, said, "This agreement marks the starting point for building a physical security ecosystem in the Japanese market through collaboration with a global infrastructure company. We will focus on delivering real security value to local customers and setting new standards for physical security."

Going forward, the two companies plan to expand their business areas from physical port security to equipment management, export control, and physical access control, gradually building an integrated physical security solution in the Japanese market.
