This agreement was promoted to enhance medical accessibility for people with disabilities by linking the expertise of local private medical institutions with public welfare administration and to strengthen an inclusive welfare safety net centered on the local community.

The signing ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Mayor of Hwaseong Special City, the Director of the Care and Welfare Bureau, and the Director of Tteuntteun Hospital, along with other related officials, who shared their commitment to expanding support for people with disabilities through public-private cooperation.

Under the agreement, Tteuntteun Hospital, which operates specialized medical, treatment, and rehabilitation systems in neurosurgery, orthopedics, and neurology, plans to provide the following for registered people with disabilities in Hwaseong: discounts on MRI precision examination fees; linkage for spinal and joint surgery support for basic livelihood security recipients with disabilities; discounts for families of people with disabilities; and reduction of document issuance fees. Hwaseong Special City will offer administrative and practical support, promote the program, and play a role in consultation and coordination to ensure smooth implementation of the agreement.

In particular, this agreement is significant in that it connects private resources necessary for maintaining the healthy lives of people with disabilities to the local welfare system. The city expects that substantial expansion of medical support will lessen the burdens on people with disabilities and their families, and that social contribution activities by private institutions will help foster a culture of community care in the region.

There are a total of 33,361 people with disabilities registered in Hwaseong Special City. The city plans to continuously expand its foundation for cooperation with private institutions, as there is a diverse demand for welfare services depending on disability type and living conditions.

Yoon Sungjin, the First Deputy Mayor of Hwaseong Special City, said, "This agreement marks the starting point of practical cooperation to support healthy living and improve the quality of life for people with disabilities," adding, "We will work to ensure that people with disabilities can access more stable medical services through a comprehensive support system built in collaboration between the public and private sectors."

Park Jinsu, Director of Tteuntteun Hospital, stated, "This agreement is a valuable promise to provide substantial medical benefits to people with disabilities in Hwaseong City," and added, "We will do our utmost to ensure that they can receive treatment without economic burden."

He continued, "We hope to actively utilize the resources and expertise of both organizations to further strengthen the local welfare network and establish a foundation where people with disabilities and their families can grow together with the community."

Meanwhile, Hwaseong Special City plans to continue discovering new ways to support people with disabilities through cooperation with private institutions and to expand welfare policies aimed at realizing an inclusive city for all.
