A member of the Cargo Solidarity of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions Public Transport Workers' Union, who was arrested at the protest site, was detained on April 22, 2026.
Lee Jiwoong, the judge in charge of warrants at the Jinju Branch of the Changwon District Court in Gyeongsangnam-do, issued an arrest warrant on the same day for a union member in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, who was arrested at the scene on charges including obstruction of official duties under special circumstances.
Judge Lee determined that there was a risk of flight and destruction of evidence by Mr. A.

원본보기 아이콘According to the police, Mr. A is accused of threatening police officers at the Cargo Solidarity rally site in front of the CU Jinju Logistics Center in Jeongchon-myeon, Jinju, on April 20, by either attempting to harm himself with a weapon or threatening to harm an unspecified number of people.
The police have also applied for arrest warrants for Mr. B, a non-union member in his 40s who is suspected of driving a cargo truck into union members at the rally site, resulting in one death and two injuries, and for Mr. C, a union member in his 60s who is accused of driving a van into a police barricade and then ramming into the main entrance of the center, injuring police officers.
The pre-arrest interrogations for these individuals are scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. on April 23, 2026, at the Jinju Branch of the Changwon District Court.
