Park stated, "Field communication has always been the foundation of my approach to city administration," adding, "The answers are always found on site, and the priorities of the administration must be determined where citizens actually live their lives. I plan to visit every corner of Gwangmyeong once again with this in mind."
On this day, Park toured the Gwangmyeong-dong district, broadly examining various issues directly linked to citizens’ daily lives, including the livelihood economy, neighborhood business districts, welfare and support for households in crisis, elder care and health, transportation and pedestrian environments, utilization of cultural and sports resources, and everyday safety infrastructure.
Park remarked, "Gwangmyeong-dong is where the local economy, changes in the old downtown, and the everyday issues faced by citizens most closely intersect," adding, "By personally visiting the site, I am reassessing where citizens are experiencing inconveniences and determining which policies need to be strengthened."
During this field inspection, the livelihood economy and neighborhood business districts were highlighted as key pillars. Park reviewed how policies for expanding local currency, supporting small business owners, and revitalizing neighborhood economies-which he has promoted so far-are functioning on site. He also expressed his intention to further strengthen livelihood-focused policies that reduce citizens’ living expenses and boost local consumption going forward.
In addition, transportation, pedestrian environments, and daily social infrastructure were also reviewed. Old downtown areas, including Gwangmyeong-dong, are currently facing important tasks such as redevelopment and reconstruction, as well as the expansion of metropolitan transportation networks, which are bringing issues like traffic flow, pedestrian safety, and the improvement of daily convenience to the forefront. Park emphasized that he will work to enhance both the city's competitiveness and citizens’ everyday convenience by expanding metropolitan rail networks, improving local transportation, ensuring mobility rights for transportation-vulnerable groups, and creating a pedestrian-friendly environment.

Park believes it is important to connect Gwangmyeong’s existing cultural, sports, and tourism resources to the local economy and the quality of life for citizens. He stated his intention to actively realize an urban vision that elevates Gwangmyeong’s status by integrating K-Arena, Gwangmyeong Station area, community cultural facilities, and sports infrastructure. He also added that he will continue to strengthen everyday safety infrastructure so that citizens can tangibly feel safer in their daily lives.
Park’s campaign team stated, "This series of field visits by district is a process of reviewing the achievements Park has made in city administration over the past eight years and reconnecting future pledges and visions with the language of citizens’ everyday lives. Starting with Gwangmyeong-dong, we plan to thoroughly examine issues in each district and develop practical policies that will truly improve the lives of citizens."
