This event is a stay-over tourism initiative designed to encourage out-of-town visitors to experience a range of local attractions, restaurants, and accommodations in Hampyeong.
To participate, visitors must complete at least three out of the following four missions during the festival period: use a local restaurant, visit at least two major tourist attractions, attend the Hampyeong Butterfly Festival, and stay at an accommodation within the county. After completing the missions, participants must post a review with photos on their personal social media (such as Instagram or Naver Blog), and submit the URL of their post via a Naver form to enter the event.
The county plans to select 100 participants by lottery and award them a mobile coupon worth 50,000 won, which can be used like cash at Hampyeongcheonji Mall, the official online shopping mall for Hampyeong’s local specialties.
A Hampyeong County official stated, "We organized this event to provide visitors to the Hampyeong Butterfly Festival with a unique experience and to promote stay-over tourism. We hope tourists will discover the many charms of Hampyeong and take part in the event for a chance to win."
